Sakura is reminiscent of the presence of another being. The large, tentacle-shaped root formations tell the story of growth, fluid entities, imaginary flora and fauna and raise questions of uprooting, alienation and otherness. Once something is declared other or different, a dividing line is drawn, one might become fearful, feel inclined to keep a distance or become curious and engage.
